With everything Shane does he moves me, he is a risk taker, a statement maker and he's not afraid to bleed for his art, I have to respect that. He been AWOL of late but you can bet your ass than when he comes back, whatever he has to say he will execute perfectly with style and class. Ok I'm tired of making excuses for not posting anything.. prepare for mass postage.
You know I sit here behind my computer the rare times I come to DA and flick through my vast amount of photos and say "no no no no" because I'm so overly self critical that I don't think anything I do is good enough, then again I don't like posting anything that isn't of the highest quality, which to me is , , , Them's some pretty big shoes....
I refuse to do this anymore, yes they are AMAZING photographers, but I could be at very least a Great Photographer, the only thing holding my back in myself so armed with the new camera I'll be getting within a couple months (after much research it'll probably be a Canon 20D or a step up to that depending on $$) I will</i> do it...
You know it becomes very hard to do things for yourself when you're a mother, especially one who lives in America and doesn't drive.. you start losing track of yourself when everything you do is for your children or partner, but in losing yourself you lose the part of you that you're supposed to be handing down to your next generation... I looked at my daughter the other day and the way she smiles and it's like looking at me 20 years ago... I have to find myself again and I think the way to do that is do something I'm passionate about, that would be photography.
So now that I've waffled on about nothing and talked myself in a circle, this was my point... I'll be posting what I consider my most decent work using my old camera I'm spending today photoshopping levels and contrast and then I'll be posting everything I consider decent. Call it the end of an era and the start of something new, better maybe?
Oh god, that means I should really really learn how to use PS properly *shiver*

I just have one question what do people suggest for backdrops?
Are bed sheets a good option?
Where do you get nice props for a decent price?
